SARANI Organises Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 in Collaboration with BPCL at Trilochanpur Kushum Kumari High School

As part of our ongoing commitment to community development and promoting public health, SARANI, in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), successfully organized the Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 at Trilochanpur Kushum Kumari High School, located in Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal.

A 15-Day Journey Towards Cleanliness and Awareness

The Swachhata Pakhwada campaign was conducted over a span of 15 days, beginning with a warm and spirited inauguration programme that brought together students, teachers, and local stakeholders. The goal was not just to talk about cleanliness, but to bring meaningful, lasting change to the school environment and the lives of its students.

Key Highlights of the Programme

• Renovation of School Toilets:One of the most impactful aspects of the initiative was the complete renovation of both the boys' and girls' toilets. These facilities were upgraded to ensure a safe, clean, and hygienic environment for all students, directly supporting school attendance—especially among girls.

• Awareness Sessions on Cleanliness, Health, and Hygiene:We conducted several interactive awareness sessions focusing on personal hygiene, health practices, waste management, and the importance of cleanliness in daily life. These sessions were designed to empower students with practical knowledge they can carry forward.

• Competitions to Engage Young Minds:To engage students in a creative and thoughtful manner, quiz and drawing competitions were held on themes related to Swachhata, health, and environmental sustainability. The enthusiasm and participation were heartening.

• Installation of Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine:In a significant step towards promoting menstrual hygiene, we installed a sanitary napkin vending machine in the school premises, ensuring better access to hygiene products for adolescent girls.

• Tree Plantation Drive:As part of our commitment to environmental care, trees were planted across the school compound, turning the campus greener and creating awareness about climate responsibility.

• Clean-Up Drive:The entire school premises were thoroughly cleaned and beautified, with the active involvement of students and staff, making the school a model for cleanliness in the area.
